The First Continental Congress -- Peyton Randolph

Peyton Randolph-
1. Peyton Randolph was the first president if the First Continental Congress.
2. Peyton was born in Virginia in Williamsburg.
3. He went to the college of William and Mary.
4. Peyton was selected to chair in both the 2nd and 1st continental congresses.
5. He served several times in the Virginia House of Burgesses.
6. Thomas Jefferson is Peyton's cousin.
7. Peyton served as a rector for one year.
8. On November 6th Peyton was elected speaker for the House of Burgesses.
9. In 1748 Peyton was appointed the Kings attorney in Virginia.
10. He served in the House of Burgesses for most of his life.
11. He was opposed to the colonists' reaction to the Stamp Act.
12. Peyton died of a stroke in 1775, in Philadelphia.

The Boston Massacre

If I had not been in Boston at the time to witness the massacre and I saw that picture, then I would think that the British soldiers were firing into an unarmed crowd. And that would make me greatly dislike the British. The picture also shows the British general behind the men and he looks like he's ordering the soldiers to fire. Since the names of this event are Boston Massacre and The King Street Massacre I would think that a lot of people had died.

Sons of Liberty picture

The Sons of Liberty are portrayed as very brave men. The British are portrayed as mean people, because they are pointing bayonets at them. I believe that the artist is supporting the Sons of Liberty.

 I like the intensity of the picture, and I don't like their glowing eyes.

I don't think I would join the Sons of Liberty because, I would be too scared to get caught and I don't do good under pressure.

     My name is Maylyn. I like to play soccer, travel and read. My cat Mimi is my only pet, and he is so fuzzy.I love animals especially the soft and fluffy ones! I am an only child and I was born in Michigan!

     My favorite subject is science and I hope to become a teacher when I grow up. My dad is a professor at Wayne State University and my mommy is a nurse at Beaumont. They both came from Taiwan.

    Some of my favorite foods are spaghetti, grilled cheese, and tomato soup! My favorite fruit is a lemon and i greatly dislike vegetables. So now that you know that, good bye!
